Jane Wolters was born in England, but has lived on Vancouver Island most of her life. A professional potter for over 30 years, she works mainly in stoneware and porcelain, fired in a gas kiln. Her work is varied, ranging from kitchen and dinnerware to bathroom sinks to garden sculptures.

She has also been painting in oils for about 10 years, more recently with acrylics; portraits are her main interest.
