Born in 1954, Duncan, B.C.
Resides in Genoa Bay.
I am a self taught artist. I primarily draw portraits of pets and of people, which are commissioned works. I am always expanding my subject matter, including wildlife and coastal scenes. Calligraphy and design are also interests, and I am starting to work with watercolour.
My drawing style is one of fine accurate detail.
I work from photographs and use graphite pencil on bristol paper. I add coloured pencil for my pet portraiture, to add to the realism, however I prefer the soft and clean blacks and grays of the graphite.
I get great enjoyment from drawing a true to life image. My goal with each work is to convey the real nature of the subject, which becomes revealed to me as I go through the process of applying my marks and lines to the page.
My home and studio is located at Genoa Bay Marina, where visitors are always welcome.
