April 25th to 29th marks the 42nd annual Cowichan Valley Fine Arts Show. Mark these dates on your calendar.

This year one of the goals is to improve upon the innovations that were introduced last year: specifically the Vendor's Market and the Cowichan Catch - A Live-ly Auction. Both of these initiatives will have new venues this year: the auction will be tastefully embedded in the fine arts show itself and will take place after closing on the Saturday night of the show. The Vendors' Market will be held in the Quamichan Building along with many other fine art pieces and "the Family Studio".

"Cowichan Hands Create - a Vendors Market" list of participants include:
The Vendors' Market is being enhanced and expanded with a focus on three criteria: excellence, product variety and an opportunity to showcase artisan work that complements and yet does not directly compete with the entries in the fine arts show. (No art cards - thank you). To that end the market, "Cowichan Hands Create", will entertain 12 - 14 vendors, displaying and selling their work beginning at 7:15pm on the Gala Evening and running until the end of the show on Sunday. Work for sale will have a maximum price point of $200 and all sales transactions will be the responsibility of the vendor.

The cost to CVAC members in good standing, for inclusion in "Cowichan Hands Create" is $125 for the duration of the show. The show opens with the Gala evening on Wednesday April 25th from 7:15pm to 9pm, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 6pm, Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 11am to 3:30pm.
