An arts exhibition at the Cowichan Valley Arts Centre June 25 - extended to July 31, 2009

The exhibition examines how the current economic and political climate affects the fine arts and more specifically the arts in our own local community.

The show features local artists, Jeffrey Birkin, Laird Campbell, Tom Faue, Paul Fletcher, Joan Samuel Harry, Paul Manuel, Misha Koslovsky, Brenda Laine, and others.

Economic Diversity art show hosted downtown until July 25

A free display of pieces showing current Economic Disparity has been scraped together by the Cowichan Valley Arts Council until July 25.

Island artists Tom Faue, Paul Manuel, Jeffrey Birkin, Joan Samuel Harry, Brenda Laine, Paul Fletcher, Bill Featherston, Laird Campbell, Misha Koslovsky and others are displaying works spanning metal sculpture, photos and wool to wood and watercolour.
